Next year give a priceless gift
One of the ways I find hope in the midst of calamity is to take action.
I emptied the fridge yesterday…cleaned every square inch…tossed unwelcome and expired food…perked my day up.
It is easy to get down at this time of the year.
The road to Christmas is a journey. Once we’ve arrived there is nothing to look forward to.
Unless you are a kid not sure which new toy to open first.
If you’re like me you need a new journey.
Take baby steps if you like cleaning or fixing something.
I want to focus on an award-winning gift I saw given this year. I want to start planning next Christmas while this one is still smouldering in my mind.
A “To Do” and “What Not To Do” list if you will (Hamlet?).
A friend gave the gift of time to her friends who were parents with young children.
She planned a kid’s party and invited her friends to drop off their children for a couple of hours on a weekend before Christmas so they could shop at full speed!
And when they were finished shopping she had hot soup and homemade bread for the moms and dads.
Kid-free shopping time and no worries about dinner.
Does it get any better?
A great gift is one that really hits your sweet spot.
My hat of off to my friend and I am planning to give this one next year.
Come to think of it this could work for Easter, spring cleaning, vacation planning, planning a wedding, or getting ready to send someone to college.
It could be given for just one family or a group of friends in the same situation.
A priceless gift that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
A gift that will be remembered long after.
A gift and reeks of friendship.
